January 6 Evidence is compiled by hundreds of volunteers who have scrutinized photos and video of the event. They have reviewed thousands of hours of footage, created timelines, identified and tracked persons of interest, synchronized videos, and provided analysis.

ProPublica and a coalition of 15 other news organizations including The Washington Post, The Associated Press, CBS and NBC have been suing for access to the video exhibits shown in the criminal cases against the accused Jan. 6 rioters.

This review by the office of U.S. Representative Zoe Lofgren lists public social media posts from Members of the U.S. House of Representatives who were sworn-in to office in January 2021 and who voted to overturn the 2020 presidential election. (Partner organization, Advance Democracy expanded on this review.)

The Program on Extremism at George Washington University provides analysis on issues related to violent and non-violent extremism. In keeping with their tradition of providing primary source documents to the research community and the public at large, The Program on Extremism has launched a project to create a central database of court records related to the events of January 6, 2021. (Public Wise used this resource to track insurrectionists in positions of power and cross referenced the information with other evidence.)
