Executive Summary
Rep. Jake Ellzey was first elected to Congress in a special election in July 2021. During that campaign Ellzey would not give a direct answer to several questions about who won the 2020 presidential election saying only, “I think there were irregularities.”
Ellzey lists election integrity as one of his key campaign issues and claims, “Texas has some of the most secure elections in the world, but even one case of voter fraud is one too many and other states have not held themselves to our standard of excellence.” Ellzey has been endorsed by Donald Trump and is unopposed in the general election.
