In January 2021, 15 members of the county legislative delegation called on O’Lenick to resign, due to her publicized comments that “They don’t have to change all of them [election laws], but they’ve got to change the major parts of them so that we at least have a shot at winning.” O’Lenick also voted against certifying the 2020 election results, and called ballot drop boxes “ballot harvesting boxes.”
